About P.J. Callender

Pamela “P.J.” Callender, PDGA #136, played a formative role in organizing flying-disc sports in Florida. The Hall’s existing profile identifies her as Florida’s first International Frisbee Association director and the organization’s first female regional director.

Her induction record credits her with establishing the Florida State Frisbee Association and Sarasota Frisbee Team, promoting the sport across the state, and helping create 19 clubs during one Florida tour. It also credits her with producing the first Florida Ultimate Championships and the Orange Blossom Nationals in Tampa and Sarasota.

Callender’s work extended to places to play: the Hall records her collaboration with Nick Hart on a course at the University of South Florida. Her story connects club building, event promotion, and participation across disciplines. She joined Tom Monroe and John Kirkland in Florida’s Class of 2023.
